One of New Orleans’ most respected guitarists and educators, Brian Seeger set up residence in New York City after hurricane Katrina’s devastation in 2005. He currently is available to take on a limited number of highly motivated students for private instruction on the guitar, as well as in music theory and composition.
Brian continues to be a popular member of the acclaimed University of New Orleans Jazz Studies faculty, as well as an instructor at the National Guitar Workshop, and a guest clinician at music camps across the country and the world. He has performed, toured, and recorded with a large number of stellar musicians, including Aaron Neville, Stanton Moore, Karl Denson, Big John Patton, Chris Wood, Charlie Hunter, Jason Marsalis, Ed Petersen, and many others. Brian’s performances in 2006 included sets at the Montreux Jazz Festival, the North Sea Jazz Festival, the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival, the Perugia Jazz Festival, and at numerous other venues in the Czech Republic, Bolivia, Canada, France, and the US.
